A significant factor which controls our climate is the Antartic which is a huge source of cold similar to the sun, which is the source of heat. The surface of the water and thereby the atmosphere is cooled by the combination of the cold water from the Antartic with the warmer waters of the tropics. Human interference jeopardizes this delicate balance (Jane Johnson, 1990).Yancey (1989), claims that twenties saw a dramatic change in the cultural and social behavior of Americans.
